What a useful and fun tool! I made this video with the aim that students would watch it and write a story of what was happening. It would be a fun and education activity that would involve sharing each others stories at the end. I feel the ease and effectiveness of this tool would warrant its use in most units.
Hi Cameron,
ReplyDeleteYou have made me think about how I can use moving images (visual literacy) to stimulate and scaffold creative thinking in the classroom. I like this idea of providing a movie - not just stills - to guide children. They will be operating at a higher order level of thinking as they try to connect and sequence events from one 'movie shot' to the next. This would also be a good extension activity for the advanced students in the class - you could easily differentiate for your learners using movies of varying sequence and image complexity. Thanks for stimulating my thoughts! Cheers, Kim
Thanks for your comments Kim. So true indeed, the possible uses of this tool are endless. Could you imagine making the images so unrelated that it would take student some time to link them with a story, that would really invoke higher order thinking!
